Personal Statement
I am a polyglot researcher at the Department of European Languages and Integration Studies of the University of Lagos. I am basically a researcher in Comparative Literature, Translation, and Contrastive Linguistics (Semantics, Pragmatics & Psycholinguisitcs). My work focuses on the followings: French Literature, German Literature, Nigerian French Literature, (Romanticism & Romantic Movement), Comparative Romanticism (Nigeria, England, France & Germany), Comparative Criticism, Romantic Plays & Romantic Films, Psychoanalysis and Psychocriticism, Literary Theories & Literary Criticism, Translation Studies. Languages of collaborative research are Yoruba, English, French, German and Chinese. My contribution to knowledge is the theorization of Romanticism, expansion of Freud’s Psychoanalysis and Greimas’ Modèle Actionciel, explanation of how social change constantly occurs through newly established romantic concepts, principles and theories.
