Our Mission
To train and inspire graduates in Fine and Applied Arts who are creatively innovative, technically proficient and intellectually grounded, capable of applying artistic knowledge and interdisciplinary approaches to cultural production, the creative industries and societal problem-solving.
About the Department of Fine and Applied Arts
The Department of Fine and Applied Arts trains artists and scholars across studio practice, art history and art education. Its academic staff work in painting, sculpture, graphic design and visual communication, textile and fabric design, art education, and African art history and visual epistemologies.
