1 Akande Ruth Oluyemi. (2018.) « La culture Africaine et le féminisme á travers Rivan ou le chemin de
sable de Ken Bugul et Une si Longue lettre de Mariama Ba » in Kaduna State University Journal of
French (KASUJOF) : Vol.5, 2019 p.p. 99-109
This study contributes to feminist literary criticism and African gender studies by demonstrating how African feminism has played a vital role in improving the condition of African women both on the continent and globally. Through the analysis of So Long a Letter by Mariama Bâ and Riwan by Ken Bugul, the research highlights how African female writers use literature to challenge patriarchal norms and cultural practices that marginalize women. By foregrounding African women's voices and experiences, the study shows that African feminism not only resists male domination but also redefines cultural narratives from a woman-centered perspective. This work enhances the understanding of how feminist ideology has empowered African women and advanced their quest for equality in contemporary society.
Akande, Ruth Oluyemi (2020). « La rénovation romanesque chez Alain Mabanckou dans Verre cassée et Petit Piment », Journal of Applied Linguistics and Integration Studies (JALIS): The Dialogue of Culture in West Africa Sub-Region.
This study contributes to African literary scholarship by highlighting Alain Mabanckou’s role in reshaping the African novel through aesthetic and graphic innovation. By analyzing Broken Glass and Black Moses through the lens of intertextuality, the article reveals how Mabanckou revives historical and cultural narratives of Africa within a modern literary framework. The research also underlines the metamorphosis of romantic expression in his works, demonstrating a significant evolution in narrative form and style in contemporary African literature.
Akande, Ruth Oluyemi (2021). « La migritude dans la littérature nigériane : une étude textuelle des romans choisis de Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie », JOREFI, pp. 104–111.
This study contributes to the discourse on peacebuilding in Nigeria by demonstrating how literature—particularly Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Purple Hibiscus—serves as a powerful medium for promoting religious tolerance. Through a sociocritical analysis, the paper establishes the link between literature and society, showing how Adichie addresses religious intolerance and advocates for peaceful coexistence. By adopting a qualitative approach, the study highlights religious tolerance as a crucial and effective strategy for countering the destructive effects of religious extremism in Nigeria. This work enriches existing scholarship by foregrounding the role of literary narratives in fostering interfaith harmony and national unity.
